Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

 Meeting called to order at 1500 hours by President W. Rose.

Present were: President W. Rose, Secretary B. Osborne, and Trustee J. Bolletta.

Absent were: Trustee P. Schumer and Trustee K. Romadka.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:

 Motion to approve the minutes from the March 01, 2017 meeting(s) was made by , Secretary B. Osborne and seconded by Trustee J. Bolletta, motion passed.

Treasurers/Investment Committee Report:

 The Chatham Firefighter’s Pension Fund account balance reported at the Chatham Fire Protection District Board meeting on March 28, 2017 was $ 75,567.27.

 Motion to accept Treasurers Report was made by President W. Rose and seconded by Trustee J. Bolletta, motion passed.

 Motion to approve payment to Attorney Carolyn W. Clifford invoice(s) for cost of services concerning the Gorbett Disability matter in the amount of $ 17.59 was made by Secretary B. Osborne and seconded by President W. Rose, motion passed.

 Motion to approve payment to Attorney Carolyn W. Clifford invoice(s) for cost of services concerning the Resolution and revisions to Rules and Forms in the amount of $ 1,395.00 was made by Secretary B. Osborne and seconded by President W. Rose, motion passed.

 Motion to approve payment to Illinois Public Pension Fund Association for cost of tuition for President W. Rose, Secretary B. Osborne, and Trustee J. Bolletta for annual Trustee training in Edwardsville on June 20, 2017 in the amount of $ 525.00 was made by , Secretary B. Osborne and seconded by Trustee J. Bolletta, motion passed.

Communications or Reports:

 Received correspondence from Charles Schwab about trade confirmation(s).

 Received February 01-28, 2017 statement period, trades, and explanation of fees and services from Charles Schwab and Mitchell, Vaught &Taylor Inc.

 Motion to approve changes to the Board of Trustees of the Chatham Firefighter’s Pension Fund Rules was made by Secretary B. Osborne and seconded by President W. Rose, motion passed.

 Discussion of Annual Investment Professional Review & Oversight that is required. We received all the required information/answers from Bill Yocius of Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor Inc. and forwarded it to our attorney Carolyn W. Clifford. She reviewed the information and stated to President W. Rose that it met the requirements.

 We need to recognize and “Thank”, Trustee Philip G. Schumer who was elected on March 09, 2015 to the Chatham Firefighter’s Pension Fund. Thank You, for your time and service during the critical period of time that the Pension Board just completed. If an opening occurs, we hope that you will consider applying for that position. Thanks Again!

 Next scheduled Chatham Firefighters Pension Board Meeting is 1500 hours on Wednesday, May 03, 2017.

Training:

 Trustee Joe Bolletta has completed the 2017 State of Illinois Attorney General OMA and FOIA training (4 hours) and presented his completion certificates.

 Upcoming Training: IPPFA, 8-Hour, Regional Seminar, Edwardsville, IL. June 20, 2017.

 Upcoming Training: IPPFA, 32-Hour, Mandatory Trustee Training, Edwardsville, IL. August 22, 2017 to November 14, 2017.

NOTE: Just a reminder: Illinois Department of Insurance (DOI) has made a rule, that all Pension Board Trustee’s, must complete 16 hours of training annually by August 12th of each year.
