West Lincoln Broadwell Elementary School District 92 Board met November 20.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
President Tom Kissel called the regular meeting of the Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. in the West Lincoln-Broadwell conference room. All members were present, except for Patricia Burge and Patrick Hake. Also in attendance were Superintendent Climer, Principal Baker, and teacher, Jennifer Kamradt.
Scott Goodman made a motion, seconded by Brad Luckhart, to approve the Minutes of the October 23, 2017 Regular Meeting. (Motion carried.)
Financial Report:
On a motion from Brad Luckhart and seconded by Mike Simonson, the financial reports were approved as presented. (Motion carried.)
On a motion from Brad Luckhart and seconded by Mike Simonson, the November bills and October payroll were approved as presented. (1)
Administrative Report:
A.Student Services:
The seventh and eighth grade girls’ basketball teams are both County Champions.
Mrs. Kamradt reported that winter music programs are scheduled as follows: December 11th, Junior High Band and Choir at 5:30 p.m. and K – 5 Musical at 6:30 p.m.
Board members received a copy of the first quarter Honor Roll.
Mrs. Baker reported that Mary Margaret Kretkowski received a first place rating at Speech Contest.
Immanuel Lutheran Church donated $500.00 towards the STEM lab.
B.Curriculum & Instruction:
The Veterans’ Day event on November 10th was well attended, thanks to the efforts of Pam Schreiner, Lisa Fitzpatrick and Erin Shiffer.

Principal Baker reported that 100% of parents of students grades K -4 attended parent/teacher conferences and all of the junior high slots were filled and parents accommodated before or after conferences, if requested.
C. Building, Grounds & Equipment:
Superintendent Climer reported that lead water testing was completed. A water quality management team consisting of the Superintendent, Principal, Board Member, Scott Goodman, and parent, Kim Lucas was formed as a result of said testing.

Unfinished Business:
Brad Luckhart made a motion, seconded by Scott Goodman, to destroy the May, 2016 executive session audio tapes, as the required 18 month holding period has expired. (Motion carried.)
On a motion from Scott Goodman and seconded by Tom Kissel, the board approved a Resolution providing for and requiring the submission of a public question regarding a limiting rate increase to the voters of West Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School District No. 92, Logan County, Illinois, at the gubernatorial primary election to be held on the 20th day of March, 2018. (2)
Tom Kissel made a motion, seconded by Brad Luckhart, directing Superintendent Climer to have First Midstate prepare potential issuance of $1,000,000 working cash bonds as a safety net should the referendum fail. (3)
Heather Baker, Tom Kissel and Mike Simonson reported on their attendance at the Triple I conference in Chicago.
Members were reminded of the Holiday Party on December 15th at Mason City Limits Comedy Club.
The Board Policy Committee received updates for review/adoption at the December meeting.
New Business:
Brad Luckhart made a motion, seconded by Mike Simonson, to place the proposed Tax Levy on the table for public inspection, and set the date of December 18th at 6:45 p.m. for the public hearing. (4)
On a motion from Brad Luckhart and seconded by Mike Simonson, the board approved the renewal of the current medical insurance (United Healthcare) for 2018. (Motion carried.)
Executive Session:
Brad Luckhart made a motion, seconded by Tom Kissel, to adjourn to executive session to discuss a personnel matter. The time noted was 8:14 p.m. (5)
On a motion from Mike Simonson and seconded by Steven Goodman, the board returned to regular session at 8:51 p.m. (6)
Having no further business, Steven Goodman made a motion, seconded by Brad Luckhart, to adjourn the meeting. The time was 8:52 p.m. (7)
