VILLAGE OF WILLIAMSVILLE: Electronics Recycling at Village Clean-Up

Electronics Recycling at Village Clean-Up recently issued the following announcement .

BLH Computers, Inc. will be at the Village/Township Garage on Saturday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for accept electronics to recycle. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THAT ELECTRONICS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

What they recycle for free:

Desktop, laptop, and tablet computers -- LCD monitors -- printers -- computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc.) -- satellite and cable equipment -- projectors -- VCRs -- DVD players -- video game consoles -- radios -- speakers -- cellular/mobile phones -- smart phones -- telephones -- toner -- networking equipment and cables -- mailroom equipment -- point of sale equipment -- pages -- cameras -- camcorders -- power tools (including batteries) -- fax machines -- answering machines -- battery backups and uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) -- surge suppressors and power strips -- power and accessory cables -- walkie-talkies -- ink cartridges -- Christmas tree lights

What they recycle for a fee:

CRT televisions --  projection televisions -- CRT monitors -- LCD televisions -- Non-LCD /plasma televisions or monitors -- console televisions

What they DO NOT recycle:

Microwaves, toasters and other small kitchen appliances

Refrigerators, stoves and other large appliances

Broken TVs (broken glass or otherwise dismantled)

Air conditioning units

Lamps/light bulbs

Vacuum and floor cleaners

Toys

General rubbish

Audio and video cassettes

CDs and DVDs

Software

Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detectors

Bathroom devices (i.e., electric razors, toothbrushes, etc.)

Gas powered tools

Glass, Christmas light buls, etc.

Mercury thermometers

Thermostats

Aerosal cans

Lava lamps

Pressurized canisters of any kind

Live ammunition

Needs of any sort

Adhesives, paints, chemicals of any kind

Alkaline batters (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.)

Pre-lit Christmas trees
