Report: Tri City spent $10,152 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Tri City Community Unit School District 1 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Sangamon County school district spent $9,150 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,152 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 623 to 564.

Tri City's spending in 2017-18 was 23.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
