Report: South Beloit spent $10,041 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at South Beloit Community Unified School District 320 is down 1.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Winnebago County school district spent $10,210 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,041 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1048 to 968.

South Beloit's spending in 2017-18 was 24.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
