Report: Oglesby spent $9,260 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oglesby Elementary School District 125 is up 13.5 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the La Salle County school district spent $8,157 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,260 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 620 to 561.

Oglesby's spending in 2017-18 was 30.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
