Report: Lincoln spent $10,676 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lincoln Elementary School District 27 is up 18.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Logan County school district spent $9,015 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,676 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1269 to 1139.

Lincoln's spending in 2017-18 was 20 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
