Report: Williamsville spent $8,957 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Williamsville Community Unit School District 15 is up 11.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Sangamon County school district spent $8,048 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,957 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1498 to 1543.

Williamsville's spending in 2017-18 was 32.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
