Report: Eureka spent $9,199 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Eureka Community Unit School District 140 is up 7 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $8,600 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,199 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1661 to 1583.

Eureka's spending in 2017-18 was 31 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
