Report: Grant spent $11,621 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Grant Community Consolidated School District 110 is up 10.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $10,493 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,621 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 683 to 570.

Grant's spending in 2017-18 was 12.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
