Report: Grant Park spent $9,710 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Grant Park Community Unit School District 6 is up 3.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kankakee County school district spent $9,373 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,710 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 513 to 495.

Grant Park's spending in 2017-18 was 27.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
