Administrators in Eureka Community Unit School District 140 earn an average of $87,886 per year, ranking 651st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 0.7% lower than in 2014 and 8.2% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 18.1% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Woodford County school district enrolled 1583 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 226 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
