Sangamon County Finance Committee met January 22

Sangamon County Finance Committee met Jan. 22.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Annette Fulgenzi, Linda Fulgenzi, Craig Hall, Lisa Hills, John O’Neill, George Preckwinkle, Rose Ruzic, Cathy Scaife, Todd Smith, Greg Stumpf

Members Absent: Clyde Bunch, David Mendenhall, Lori Williams

Others Present: Mike Cowles, Byron Deaner, Tim Eggleston, Andy Goleman, Shirley Johnson, Brian McFadden, Chris Mueller, Gail O’Neill, Charlie Stratton, Terry Viar, Denise E. McCrady (Secretary) Chair Preckwinkle called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Preckwinkle requested a motion to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2019 meeting. A motion was made by Stumpf and seconded by L. Fulgenzi. Motion carried (10-0).

Andy Goleman, Auditor, addressed the Committee requesting approval of Purchase Order AU2019-07 in the amount of $88,500 for CliftonLarsenAllen for the completion of the FY-2018 audit for Sangamon County ($81,000) and the Circuit Clerk ($7,500). A motion to approve the request was made by Ruzic and seconded by Hills. Motion carried (10-0).

Gail O’Neill, Public Health, addressed the Committee requesting approval to hire a Registered Dietician/ Nutritionist at an annual salary of $47,177.32, a Clerk Typist I at an annual salary of $27,030.67, and a Health Educator at an annual salary of $37,865.09. A motion to approve all three requests was made by Hall and seconded by Scaife. Motion carried (10-0).

Chris Mueller, ETSD, addressed the Committee requesting approval of the application of the NG9-1-1 Expenses Grant program with anticipated grant revenue of $100,000 and approval to forward to the County Board for acceptance of said grant. A motion to approve the request was made by O’Neill and seconded by L. Fulgenzi. Motion carried (10-0).

Shirley Johnson, Child Advocacy, addressed the Committee requesting approval to send Denise Johnson, Carly Mason, Bryanna Day, Michelle Norris, the Mental Health Therapist and the Forensic Interviewer to the MDT Conference held in Itasca on March 11 and 12, approval to send Denise Johnson and the Forensic Interviewer to the Developing a Community Response for High-Rick Victims of Child Sex Trafficking and Exploitation Course held in Parkersburg, WV on May 15 and 16, approval to hire a replacement Mental Health Therapist at an annual salary of $45,000-$50,700 and a Forensic Interviewer at an annual salary of $40,000.16. A motion to approve all requests was made by A. Fulgenzi and seconded by O’Neill. Motion carried (10-0).

Byron Deaner, Supervisor of Assessments, addressed the Committee requesting approval of Purchase Order 1 in the amount of $3,818.15 for Indiana Forms and Labels for envelopes and Purchase Order 2 in the amount of $80,790 for multiple vendors for legal notice of assessment changes. A motion to approve the requests was made by Hall and seconded by Scaife. Motion carried (10-0).

There was no old business or public comment.

Preckwinkle requested a motion to approve the requisitions. A motion was made by L. Fulgenzi and seconded by Scaife. Motion carried (10-0).

A motion to adjourn was made Smith and seconded by A. Fulgenzi. Motion carried (10-0). Meeting adjourned.
