College Street/ Ash Street home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in College Street/ Ash Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $6,950 while total sales increased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 40 homes sold, with a median sale price of $86,500 - a 7.4% decrease over the $93,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in College Street/ Ash Street in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in College Street/ Ash Street for 2017 was $2,064.22. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,016.80. This marks an increase of 2.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
