College Street/ Lawrence Avenue home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue, a Springfield neighborhood, rose by $4,500 while total sales decreased by 5.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $73,000 - a 6.6% increase over the $68,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue for 2017 was $1,532. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,507.70. This marks an increase of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
