Arlington Heights home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Arlington Heights, a Springfield neighborhood, rose by $19,500 while total sales decreased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $56,500 - a 52.7% increase over the $37,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 22 homes sold in Arlington Heights in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Arlington Heights for 2017 was $1,057.98. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,024.20. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
