16th Street/ Ash Street home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in 16th Street/ Ash Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $13,000 while total sales increased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $18,000 - a 41.9% decrease over the $31,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in 16th Street/ Ash Street in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in 16th Street/ Ash Street for 2017 was $564.90. In 2016, the median sales tax was $553.80. This marks an increase of 2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
