Elkhart home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Elkhart fell by $12,375 while total sales remained unchanged with four homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $100,000 - a 11% decrease over the $112,375 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Elkhart in the second quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,762, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
