Atlanta home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Atlanta rose by $13,850 while total sales increased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $88,750 - a 18.5% increase over the $74,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Atlanta in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,805, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
