Atlanta home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Atlanta rose by $10,063 while total sales remained unchanged with six homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $70,313 - a 16.7% increase over the $60,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Atlanta in the first quarter of 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,805, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
