New Berlin home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in New Berlin fell by $20,400 while total sales increased by 55.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $97,500 - a 17.3% decrease over the $117,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in New Berlin in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in New Berlin for 2017 was $2,698. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,718. This marks an decrease of 0.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
