Arlington Heights home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Arlington Heights, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $27,250 while total sales increased by 70%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $34,000 - a 44.5% decrease over the $61,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Arlington Heights in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Arlington Heights for 2017 was $1,058. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,024. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
