Lincoln home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Lincoln fell by $1,450 while total sales decreased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 120 homes sold, with a median sale price of $71,050 - a 2% decrease over the $72,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 150 homes sold in Lincoln in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Lincoln for 2017 was $1,814. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,817. This marks an decrease of 0.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
