Elkhart home prices fall in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Elkhart fell by $68,500 while total sales decreased by 69.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $16,500 - a 80.6% decrease over the $85,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Elkhart in 2018.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,762, approximately 10.7% of the median home sale price for 2019.
