Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the Midwest Technical Institute-Springfield

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the Midwest Technical Institute-Springfield, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $14,672 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 345 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.1 million and 347 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (549), 470 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.8 million, and 513 students took out $4.3 million in federal student loans.
