Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
Substitute classroom teachers supervise in-person students while their regular teacher instructs them virtually. Substitute virtual teachers instruct from the school to students who are learning at home, and will be trained on how to instruct via Google Meet.
Substitute teacher pay is $105 per day; $140/day for 11-90 days; and $187/day for 91+days. Please note that the Ball-Chatham School District uses an automated calling system when filling substitute vacancies.
