State Rep. Tim Butler (R-Springfield) has his work cut out for him as he takes on seven Illinois House committees.
Butler has been assigned to the Arts committee; Cultural committee; Energy and Environment; Executive; Museums, Public Utilities; State Government Administration; Tourism and the committee he is very familiar with: Transportation: Vehicles & Safety.
Butler was the Republican spokesperson on the Transportation: Vehicles & Safety Committee so he’s adept at handling that particular department.
Butler spoke of his upcoming assignments and he is excited to get to work. He said that working on those committees will help the State of Illinois to move forward and he’s honored to be part of that development.
He said, “Advocating for the transportation and infrastructure of our state, overseeing changes in our energy sector, revitalizing the tourism industry in Illinois, and working for reasonable and effective environmental policy are all areas I’ve been involved with to this point and I look forward to taking a leading role.”
Butler thanked Republican Leader Jim Durkin for giving him these seven committees.
