May 2020: Home prices in Atlanta fell

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2020 in Atlanta fell by $37,000 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2020, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $98,000 - a 27.4% decrease over the $135,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Atlanta in May 2019.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,913, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for May 2020.
