May 2019: Home prices in Atlanta increased

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Atlanta rose by $36,900 while total sales remained unchanged with three homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 37.6% increase over the $98,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Atlanta in May 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for 2019 was $1,913. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,868. This marks an increase of 2.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
