Rising home prices in Lincoln in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Lincoln rose by $18,900 while total sales decreased by 29.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 45 homes sold, with a median sale price of $89,900 - a 26.6% increase over the $71,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 64 homes sold in Lincoln in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Lincoln for 2019 was $1,863. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,822. This marks an increase of 2.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
