Recognition of Visitors: Ryan McGrady of Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance to present proposal, Michael Packenham, Jim/Angie Wilson to address the lien of property for sale.
Ryan- Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance focuses on economic growth in Sangamon County that includes new businesses, job growth, and expansion. NextSite, a commercial development advisory firm works with Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance by providing analytics and data as well as connecting opportunities to developers. The service being provided will cost $2,000 annual subscription and additional fees only if the company is successful in implementing economic growth for the village.
Michael Packenham, Angie/Jim Wilson- Michael is interested in purchasing a piece of property across at 310 S. 3rd Cross and would like the board to waive the lien amount for $5893.00.
Engineering Report: Phil Weber- The plans for Main St. Parking Plan are almost complete and at an approximate cost of $420,726 without the add-ons (additional parking by the park and lighting). If the add-ons are included in the price it would likely be at a cost of approximately $500,000 to which the grant will provide 50% of the costs if it is granted.
Zoning Report: Dorothy Cole- No report.
Police Report: Report reviewed.
Approval of Minutes: The board approved the December 6th amended Board Meeting Minutes. Amendments include the change of May meeting date.

Board discussion of the holiday tree lighting. Trustee Conn suggests the tree lighting starting earlier and events be closer together possibly from 3-5 PM. Trustee Conn is open to any suggestions.
MAYOR’S REPORT- Chris Highley will be going to training next week and another candidate is trying to get lined up for May training. There may also be a 3rd candidate for part-time as an officer.
