Village of Chatham Zoning Board of Appeals met July 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Chairman Ryan Vaughn called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

1. Roll Call

Present: Steve Schroll, Jeff Emrick, Chuck Herr, Todd Johnson, Ryan Vaughn

Absent: Brian Stenke and Anthony Tolliver

Also Present: Village Manager Pat McCarthy, Village President Dave Kimsey; Village Attorney Greg Moredock, Village Code Enforcement Officer Ryan Crawford and Village Clerk Dan Holden

2. Public Hearing

2.01 The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet to hold a public hearing on a Petition by the Village of Chatham to rezone its property known as Lot 221 of Oakbrook Estates

A motion was made by Todd Johnson to open the public hearing. This motion was seconded by Chuck Herr. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed.

There was no input, questions or comments from the public.

A motion as made by Chuck Herr to close the public hearing. This motion was seconded by Todd Johnson. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed.

3. Approve Minutes

3.01 Approve Minutes from ZBA hearing of December 8, 2021

A motion was made by Todd Johnson approve the Consent Agenda. This motion was seconded by Chuck Herr. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed.

4. New Business

4.01 The Zoning Board of Appeals will consider a Petition by the Village of Chatham to rezone its property known as Lot 221 of Oakbrook Estates

A motion was made by Todd Johnson to approve the petition to rezone the property known as Lot 221 of Oakbrook Estates. This motion was seconded by Chuck Herr. By a 5-0-2 vote, the motion was approved. The vote was as follows: Chuck Herr – yes; Todd Johnson – yes; Steve Schroll – yes; Ryan Vaughn – yes; Jeff Emrick – yes. Brian Stenke – absent; Anthony Tolliver – absent.

5. Closing

5.01 Adjournment

A motion was made by Todd Johnson to adjourn the meeting. This motion was seconded by Chuck Herr. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 pm.
