911 COORDINATOR REPORT

• Ron and John now have inventory of every tower. We do not have what needs replaced but we have a start. If we went to Simulcast, they are analyzing this, and we know it is an outdated system but with Simulcast it sends it to all towers. However, we know there would be a cost to change.

• Working on generators for backup, we have not heard the price yet. Rural Water and Schirdings and everyone agree. We will check with Prairieland FS for the propane. This also will go directly to John’s phone anytime it kicks on or off. John will get a 10kw vs. 8kw for $1500 more but you also get a 10-year warranty that includes an annual maintenance check. We do not have a maintenance agreement on the Oakland tower, but it does not have contact. The quote for GTSI for $42,450 just gets it up and running until next June.

• On the Budget the State reimbursement has dropped. We are not getting the extra split. We are still getting the normal $20-22k per month. John did not place anything in Project Costs, without placing anything in Project Costs we are going to be short $27k. We do not really think it will be this, but it could be a possibility. The Board decided to table for now.

• There are approximately 595 addresses that will need corrected. Some are the subdivisions some are not the addresses, but it has to do with the high and low points.

• We did talk with Logan County’s new 911 Coordinator. He was very receptable to being our backup. We have all the same equipment and John really likes him. He in Logan County is going through the same experiences we are. They also did a Simulcast and a Starcom test and Simulcast outperformed Starcom all the way around. Logan has all Simulcast now except for the Sheriff which is still Starcom. He will talk and answer any questions on this we may have.
