On Purple Heart Day, the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of all Purple Heart recipients are recognized. Their bravery serves as a beacon of resilience and unity for all. According to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, more than 1.8 million Purple Heart medals have been presented to service members since the award was created in 1782.

Rep. Coffey’s Bill Supporting Children of Veterans Passes House Unanimously

Springfield, IL—State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) expressed satisfaction with the passage of his bill that increases access to college scholarships for children of U.S. military veterans through the Illinois House of Representatives with bipartisan support. House Bill 4733 passed unanimously with a roll call of 112-0.
