The Illinois College men's soccer team experienced its first defeat of the 2024 season, falling 2-1 to Anderson on Saturday at Fridley Field in Anderson, Indiana.

The match began with the Ravens taking an early lead when Jack Harris scored at the 11:04 mark. Illinois College managed to equalize at 31:27 with Reed Rogers netting his first goal of the season, assisted by Oscar Liogon Arenas and Aidan Gowin.

Anderson secured the victory with an unassisted goal from Emmet Kindler just 1:20 before halftime.

Reed Rogers led Illinois College with three shots during the game. Jason Hernandez, Tyler Schiltz, and Tyler Lunning each contributed two shots. Goalkeeper Daniel Happach made three saves.

Illinois College will continue its road trip with a visit to Fulton, Missouri, to face Westminster on Thursday. The match is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.
