The Illinois College women's cross country team commenced its 2024 season at the UIS Invitational, securing a ninth-place finish in the team standings on Friday at the UIS Course.

The Lady Blues achieved a team score of 265.

Morgan Carrino was IC's top individual performer, placing 58th overall with a time of 21:37.46. Caroline Peters followed as the second finisher for IC and 68th overall, recording a time of 22:36.86. Kairy Mercado-Ramos secured the third spot for IC and 75th overall with a time of 22:57.81.

Claire Peters finished in 89th place with a time of 23:48.85, while Hannah Claghorn placed 95th, clocking in at 25:18.46. Patricia Rivera rounded out the team's performance by finishing in 28:10.31, securing the 107th position.

The Lady Blues will next compete at the Bradley Intercollegiate in Peoria, Ill., on September 20th, with the race scheduled to start at 5:15 p.m.
