Millikin scored a goal in each half to secure a 2-0 victory over the Illinois College men's soccer team in a non-conference match on Wednesday at England Stadium.
The defeat dropped Illinois College to 4-3-0 for the season, while Millikin improved to 4-1-0.
In a tightly contested match, Millikin broke the scoreless tie with a goal by Clayton Gibson at the 25:29 mark of the first half. The Big Blue added an insurance goal at the 78:22 mark when Brennan Smith found the net.
Millikin outshot Illinois College, 13-8. The Blueboy offense was led by Oscar Liogon Arenas, who had a team-high three shots. Tyler Schiltz contributed two shots for Illinois College.
TJ Esseily recorded three saves in goal for Illinois College.
Illinois College will play consecutive home matches for the first time this season when it welcomes Coe to England Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
