The Illinois College women's soccer team faced Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference match on Saturday, resulting in a 0-4 loss for the Lady Blues. The team now holds an overall record of 4-6-2 and a conference record of 0-1-1.

Grinnell's offense was strong from the start, with eight shots on goal within the first 16 minutes. First-year goalkeeper Sophia Kriegesmann successfully kept them at bay during this period, recording one save. In the 17th minute, Olivia Ralston had a chance to score for Illinois College, but her shot was saved by Grinnell's Peyton Dixon. Shortly after, Darian Blackburn missed another opportunity as her shot went wide right. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

The second half saw Grinnell scoring all four goals to secure their victory. Illinois College managed three shots during the game, taken by Abbi Renwick, Ralston, and Blackburn. Kriegesmann made six saves throughout the match.

The Lady Blues are set to continue their conference play against Monmouth College on Tuesday, October 10 at England Stadium.
