The Illinois College men's soccer team faced Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference match on Saturday afternoon, resulting in a 0-1 loss for the Blueboys. This defeat places Illinois College at a record of 7-4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

During the first half, both teams had opportunities to score but ended up with a scoreless tie at halftime. Tyler Lunning led the Blueboys with two shots among their initial four attempts.

The decisive moment came in the 79th minute when Grinnell was awarded a free kick near the left wing outside the 18-yard marker. Oliver Northing successfully converted this opportunity, giving the Pioneers a 1-0 lead. In the final moments of the game, Tyler Schiltz attempted to equalize for Illinois College with a shot that narrowly missed going over the net.
