Lady Blues cross country concludes season at Midwest Regional Championships

The Illinois College women's cross country team concluded their 2023 season by securing a 27th place finish at the Midwest Regional Championships. The event took place on Saturday at the Max Championship Cross Country Course in Waverly, Iowa.

Kairy Mercado-Ramos led the Lady Blues, completing her race with a time of 26:13.4 and placing 149th. Following closely was Maddison Dortch, who secured the 152nd position with a time of 26:20.4.

Additional contributions came from Alexia Finch, who finished in 160th place with a time of 26:51.7. Claire Peters completed her run in 28:45.7 to take the 181st spot, while Morgan Carrino finished two places behind Peters with a time of 28:49.9.
