Jacob Pelletier's late goal secured a victory for the Illinois College men's soccer team against Knox in a Midwest Conference match held on Wednesday afternoon at Jorge Prats Field. The decisive moment came when Pelletier scored with just over two minutes remaining, leading IC to a 1-0 win.

This victory improved Illinois College's record to 8-3-1 overall and 2-0-0 in conference play. Meanwhile, Knox fell to 3-7-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the conference.

The game remained scoreless until the final minutes when Thomas Menke assisted Pelletier, who scored at the 87:38 mark. This goal was the only score of the contest, allowing IC to claim victory.

Illinois College had a total of 15 shots compared to Knox's 11. However, Knox managed six shots on goal while IC had five. Daniel Happach played a crucial role for IC by recording six saves and securing a shutout.

Tyler Schiltz led IC's offensive efforts with four shots, while Toby Ybarra, Jives Efemini, and Jacob Pelletier each contributed two shots.

Illinois College remains unbeaten in their last five Midwest Conference matches dating back to last season. They are set to return to England Stadium to host Grinnell on Saturday, with the match scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
