Illinois College's senior basketball player, Jake Mazrimas, has been recognized as a first team All-District 9 selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). This recognition is determined through votes from NABC-member coaches within NCAA Division III.

In addition to this latest accolade, Mazrimas was previously honored as the Midwest Conference Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season. Throughout the season, he earned recognition as Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on three occasions and was named to the All-Tournament team at both the Merris Invitational and Smokey Ballenger Classic.

Mazrimas played a pivotal role in leading Illinois College to a successful season. He led his team, known as the Blueboys, in scoring with an average of 17.4 points per game and in rebounding with an average of 9.5 rebounds per game. The team's achievements included securing a 24-5 overall record and winning both the conference regular season and tournament titles. Additionally, they achieved their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.

Standing at 6-foot-6 inches tall, Mazrimas has made significant contributions to Illinois College's basketball program during his career. He holds the school's all-time record for three-point field goals made with 255 shots and ranks second in both scoring with 1,771 points and rebounding with 978 boards. Notably, he is the only player in school history to reach milestones of scoring over 1,700 points, grabbing over 900 rebounds, and hitting more than 200 three-point field goals.
