Illinois College concludes cross country season at Midwest Regional

The Illinois College men's cross country team concluded its 2023 season by securing the 23rd position at the Midwest Regional Championships. The event took place on Saturday at the Max Championship Cross Country Course in Waverly, Iowa.

Leading the Blueboys was Devin Boggs, who achieved a 122nd place finish with a time of 27:08.4. Elgin Scherff followed as the second runner for Illinois College, coming in 137th overall with a time of 27:29.9. Nick Hannig closely trailed Scherff, finishing 139th with a time of 27:34.0.

Other notable performances from Illinois College included Will Detmer, who completed his run in 28:11.4 to secure the 159th spot, and Robby Biesenthal, who finished in 165th place with a time of 28:23.5. Caden Dettmer and Ryan Gerdes also contributed to the team's effort, finishing in 172nd and 178th places with times of 28:49.1 and 29:03.7 respectively.

The results mark the end of the season for Illinois College's men's cross country team as they competed among numerous teams at this regional event.
