The Illinois College men's baseball team secured two victories against Knox College in a double-header on Wednesday, part of their ongoing Midwest Conference play. The Blueboys delivered a strong offensive performance, amassing 31 runs from 31 hits across both games. These wins improved their overall record to 19-11 and 6-8 in the conference.

In the first game, Illinois College defeated Knox with a score of 17-6. The Blueboys started strong with a four-run opening inning, initiated by Adam Passmore's one-out double. Louie Bartletti followed with an RBI single that brought Passmore home. Contributions from Jon Tate, Nolan Decker, Connor Hennemann, and Logan Schweigert helped secure a solid lead early on.

Aiden Lougeay took the mound for his third start of the season, striking out three batters in the first inning. Despite Knox's Henry Scholes hitting a solo home run in the second inning, Illinois College maintained control. The team extended their lead through subsequent innings with strategic plays including hits by Brayden Weaver and Tyler Barker.

In Game 2, Illinois College continued their dominance with a 14-6 victory over Knox. Passmore and Bartletti opened with consecutive singles leading to an early advantage. Although Knox briefly led in the first inning, IC quickly regained control with key plays from Ryan Huskey and Charlie Lardi among others.

Hennemann was notable for driving in four runs during this game while Passmore led with four hits. On the pitching front, Smith pitched five innings for Illinois College to earn the win while relievers Jake Holder and Ben Jarboe provided support.

Illinois College is set to continue their conference play on Saturday against Cornell College at Joe Brooks Field for Senior Day celebrations.
