Jack Flatley and Ann Feldhake were standout performers for the Illinois College Clay Target Team at the National Championships held in Bunker Hill, Illinois. Over the weekend, Flatley achieved a 40th place finish in the Male Gold Category, while Feldhake secured fifth place in the Female Gold Category. Notably, Feldhake was among 16 competitors to achieve a perfect 50-for-50 round during the event. Flatley also recorded a flawless 25-for-25 round on the second day of competition.

The tournament featured two competitive rounds with each participant shooting 100 targets. A total of 200 participants from 16 different institutions took part, with team scores determined by the top five individual scores from each squad.

Participants were divided into male and female categories, further classified into gold and silver based on their league averages. Shooters with an average of 22/50 or higher were placed in the gold category, while those averaging between 0-21.99/50 were placed in silver.

On Day 1, Jack Flatley finished 40th in the Male Gold Category with a score of 91/100. Ann Feldhake came in 19th in the Female Gold Category scoring 89/100. Aurora Baker scored 71/100 to secure 23rd place in the Female Silver Category. Allyson Holste and Lucia Sanchez placed 29th and 30th respectively in their categories.

Day 2 saw Ann Feldhake improving her position to fifth place with a score of 97/100 in the Female Gold Category. Jack Flatley tied for 46th place with a score of 93/100 in his category. Aurora Baker improved to finish at 21st place with a score of 75/100 in her category, while Allyson Holste and Lucia Sanchez ended up placing similarly to their first-day results.
