Rep. Nikki Budzinski, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 13th district, shared several updates via her social media platform regarding her recent activities and views on current issues.

On February 1, 2025, Budzinski highlighted a community initiative involving second graders at Hazel Dell Elementary. She stated, "I teamed up with the second graders at Hazel Dell Elementary to spread joy, love and gratitude to the heroes in our community." She encouraged participation by making Valentine's Day cards for veterans, military members, and first responders in IL-13.

On February 2, 2025, Budzinski provided advice concerning interactions with immigration enforcement agencies such as ICE. She urged individuals to be informed about their rights during such encounters. Her message was succinct: "If you have an encounter with an immigration enforcement agency like ICE, know your rights."

The following day, on February 3, 2025, Budzinski addressed concerns over potential tariffs proposed by the Trump Administration. While open to measures that support American workers and manufacturing, she expressed apprehension about the economic impact on consumers and agriculture in her district. She noted: "If tariffs are being proposed as a way to support American workers & manufacturing, I’m all ears...But with the Trump Admin offering limited details..."
