Rep. Nikki Budzinski, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 13th district, has recently shared her perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. These tweets address significant topics ranging from governmental transparency and privacy to local advancements in biomanufacturing and reproductive rights.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Budzinski expressed concern over an alleged decision by former President Donald Trump to grant Elon Musk full access to the government's payment system without prior notice or explanation. She stated her opposition to this move by announcing her role as a cosponsor of the Taxpayer Data Protection Act aimed at safeguarding taxpayer data from what she describes as "Elon Musk's invasion of our privacy." "Trump gave Elon Musk full access to the government’s payment system with no warning or explanation. I'm fighting back as a cosponsor of the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to put a stop to Elon Musk's invasion of our privacy."

Later that day, Rep. Budzinski highlighted the progress in biomanufacturing research occurring in Southern Illinois. Her visit to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) provided insights into their work at the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center, which she noted is opening new markets for local growers. "Groundbreaking biomanufacturing research is happening right here in Southern Illinois and opening up new markets for our growers. It was great to visit SIUE and learn more about their work at the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center!"

On February 9, 2025, Rep. Budzinski addressed concerns over reproductive rights following the closure of Planned Parenthood in Decatur amidst increasing challenges to reproductive freedom. She reaffirmed her commitment to protecting access to essential reproductive care for women both within Central and Southern Illinois and nationwide. "Amidst growing attacks on reproductive freedom, the closure of Planned Parenthood in Decatur is deeply concerning. I will always fight to protect access to essential reproductive care for women in Central and Southern Illinois – and across the country."
