Illinois College's baseball team began its spring break series in Winter Haven, Florida, with a doubleheader against Saint Mary's University (Minn.). The Blueboys achieved a 6-2 win in the first game but suffered a 9-0 loss in the second.

Game 2 saw Saint Mary's dominate from the start, scoring three runs in the opening inning. Illinois College's starter Anthony Buonaura pitched three innings, giving up three earned runs and striking out five. Offensively, Illinois College struggled with only two hits—a double by Adam Passmore and a single from Nathan Walker—and issued ten walks during the game.
