State Representative Charlie Meier (R-Okawville) honored Ann Schroeder, Jennifer Rick, and Stacey Pace at the Illinois Capitol as 'Women to Watch' during the annual Women's Leadership Conference.
Jennifer Rick, a small business owner from Bond County, has been instrumental in revitalizing Pocahontas. She and her husband have restored several buildings in the village square, including an antique shop, sweet shoppe, hotel, and event center.
Ann Schroeder, a real estate developer and broker-owner from Germantown, serves on the Clinton County Board. She is committed to community improvement and is also a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Stacey Pace from Troy is the Director of Madison County Community Development. With a background in community relations and education, she works on economic development in the Metro East area. Pace has also served on the Madison County Board and as a substitute teacher for the Triad School District.
“These women believe in our community,” said Rep. Charlie Meier. “It’s amazing to see all of their work and efforts in making our region better. These women all have put their hearts into work that is impactful and important. I’m honored to recognize them and look forward to seeing them make our community thrive.”
Now in its fourth year, the Women to Watch initiative acknowledges rising women leaders in Illinois. Legislators invite outstanding women from their districts to attend the conference, which features a day of recognition and programming.
