Illinois College quarterback Tyson Elliott has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league.
Elliott, a sophomore from Stone Mountain, Missouri, started his first career game last Thursday. He completed 22 of 30 passes for 252 yards and threw four touchdowns. His performance contributed to Illinois College's 28-9 victory over Greenville.
The Blueboys will begin their Midwest Conference schedule on Saturday with a home game against Lake Forest at 1:00 p.m.
